Hello all
Probably been asked a 1000 times but...I'll ask again!
What do you pay for your beer gas?
I've just phoned a supplier not 10 minutes from home. They do Adams gas,6.35kg,£34.79 plus £55 deposit on the bottle.
Is this about right?
Cheers!

£14, no deposit.

I'll say this again. Bars and pubs go through these quickly, they don't pay deposits. Support a small local bar and ask if you can tag onto their order, or find who their supplier is and go direct.

I picked up a 2nd hand 10kg off FB marketplace for £25 then had a new test and fill for £40. Current fill price is £15 at my local supplier.

I did this. Firstly, they wouldn’t deal with me direct. And when I looked to add to the bar, the cost wasn’t dissimilar.

Brewgas in case you wondered.

I get mine from the gas suppliers to my local, "The Bubble Boys"- last bottle was £25, for 6.3kg, which lasts me forever- unless I have a fault, or do summat stupid- neither of which are unheard of...!!! (Gave me a bottle to start off with, too!!)

As you can see the price varies a lot. Since a bottle will probably last you at least a year you need to consider if it is worth any significant hassle/time to save yourself £10-£15. My local place is close to £40 a and I could get for about £25 elsewhere but that would involve 1hr each way to collect, I value my time at more than £15 / + fuel.
