hi all.

well my first ever brew has been sitting in pressure barrel for 11 days and is at around 1.012sg. it has plenty of carbonation with a lovely tight foam but is still very cloudy. is this normal?

thanks

I assume it's been in the warm for 11-days to carbonate? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still cloudy. You need to move it somewhere cool to condition - a concrete floor would be good. The cooler temp will also will help the yeast fall out of suspension and the beer to clear. Leave it alone for a few weeks and away you go.

Note: You're bound to have a cheeky taste within a week. Just don't expect it to be at it's best.

I'm struggling to clear my barrel brew at the moment, I think it's just due to the warm weather - they normally clear pretty quick but I don't normally barrel them in mid-summer.
