Any help on this would be brilliant...

So a gallon each of gooseberry wine and strawberry wine fermented out and racked till sparling clear. Just before deciding to bottle a crushed campden tablet was added and the wine has subsequently gone cloudy.

That was about 3 weeks ago, has anybody had this before?

I should also say have never had this problem with this, or any other recipe before.

Any help would be fantastic.

Were they Young's CTs?

This does sound familiar, I'm off to do some searching.

Edit, 7.55pm: I'm back.

Those sort of topics (and my volume of production) are why I don't use Campden tablets but use a strong SodMet solution instead. See here.

Many thanks for this information, very useful to know other people have had the same problem.

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem? Would you advise finings or filtering?

Sorry Sarah, I don't know but I have bumped the Harris topic here and relayed your question.

Did you bottle these wines or are they still in DJs?
