There is a theory on the disadvantages of boiling the wort with a lid of boiler on. Many views are against this idea but some say its OK as it keeps the heat full up to the mark. What are your views on this subject
 
My personal opinion is leave the lid on until the boil is reached it acts as an insulator and gets to th boil quicker but once boil is reached remove the lid so any nasties can be boiled off
