Cheap vs Expensive Shiny ?

I want Shiny but the lockdown brewers have bought the lot :(

I wanted shiny but could only afford plastic so I wrapped my Peco in the stuff you put behind radiators. Happy days!

That's bloody luxury! We used to have wrap tut mash tun, which was also yer HLT, which was also yer fermenter in stuff from a ripped up sofa that the local dogs used to go to die in. And that was after you'd pried it off yer Aunty Beryl's back as she was planning on it being her weddin' dress.

One thing I sometimes see is people making poor beer on their cheap equipment, think upgrading equipment will transform their beer.
It mostly does not and quickly finds nearly new equipment on eBay.
 
Updating the HLT/boiler will have a zero effect on the quality of your finished beer.
