my first set up was a salt chemical bucket from a swimming pool that held 30l. i used a tescos kettle element before anyone else got on the band wagon and a muslin bag. the trick worked and lasted many years after a while it got improved to an insulated bucket when i found some scrap 25mm polystrene sheet and duct tape. its from that plastic bucket i went into this stock pot. i only did that due to the bucket finally breaking. its extreamly easy to brew good beer without a massive budget, then again from what i see here on the forums its just as easy to spend a forutne on shiney and not brew any beer at all.Interesting to see how your system has evolved, my set up is about as basic as it gets !

save on the kit, but spend on the ingrediants
G’day @foxy , could you please elaborate a bit on how you set this system up to your beer engine? Is the secondary tube in the cube connected to C02 via a breather. Do you connect the cube directly to the pump I am looking for a simple system to hook up to my 'ghetto beer engine' + how do you condition the beer? Cheers scometInstead of a pressure barrel use a cube for cask ale.
