So completed my first homebrew kit, taste is good but there's a lack of carbonation.
Can I add more sugar and recap or bang them in a warm place and hope for the best???
Thanks

How much sugar did you add to how much liquid? How long did you leave them to carbonate for at what temperature? Is the beer noticeably sweet at this point?

I suppose that depends on how much you put in. If there is the recommended amount it may just need to be moved to a warm place , roused and left a few days then cool again.

How much sugar did you put in what volume?

I put one cube in each 500ml bottle but struggled to get them in

I normally batch prime working on roughly 5g per litre so for 1 bottle you should have approx 2.5g. Now you need to know what a sugar cube weighs to establish if there is enough sugar in a bottle.

My feeling is it is possible enough and needs a few more days at a warm temp, say 20 -22°C to get the yeast active again.

PS it will also take time to dissolve the cube so this might slow the fermentation down, try adding loose sugar or batch priming next time.
