My question to day is how many carbonation drops is best for 500ml bottles?

Thank lee

It depends what you are brewing. If you want a decent amount of CO2 then you will need 1.5 in each bottle. It's a huge PITA, hence why most recommend to stay away from them.

The back of the packet will say something like 1 for a 375ml bottle and 2 for a 750ml bottle. Just a ploy to get you buying their bottles rather than using your own, IMO.

1 for Ale 2 for Lager was what Coopers customer support told me.

+1 on this and I use a mix of bottles too, easier when you have a bambino running around trying to eat everything lol
