Same thing happened to my mate at work, he had a slight bump with someone and agreed to pay for the damage, 1 month later he was hit with the insurance and no proof he'd paid them for the damage.crE said:I know this is the wrong forum , but one of you guys may know the answer to this...
I went into the back of someone last month, and I told the lady "I'll pay for any damages, dont bother going through the insurance". She agreed and we went our seperate ways.
I was always under the impression that as long as I paid for the damages - legally that's all I need to do. Can they really force me to go through the insurance company? I dont want to lose my 3 years no claims
ARRGHH!
I told him at the time to go through the insurance but he didn't.
<<<<<WHIPLASH>>>>> = £2,000 - £3,000
