These look very similar to the mini kegs you can buy for homebrew, which are reusable. I've never used one myself but I'd think you'd be ok.

I take it it's a 5 litre one? Just out of interest how big is it? I'm considering buying a mini keg or two for my family holiday later in the year.

It was a gallon cask (8 pints) and was very good if you follow the link there is a brief how to guide but its very straight forward.

I would definitely recommend it for your family holiday.

yes they can be reused. You need to pop the top bit out taking car not to damage the keg. give it a good wash out then prime with no more than 8g sugar and use on of THESE to seal. Then when it comes to drinking either pop the centre bit out and drink 8 pints i a night or use one of many taps/pumps HERE

Yes reuse :) i think u can also reuse the central bung, if the top red bit should come free with a gentle twist to encourage it leaving its bottom half in the bung which u should be able to push in for now, the bung is easily removed with string wrapped round tight under the lip.. fish out the central plug bottom, clean sterilise and fit back together for reuse.

at you sure on the 8g sugar? as iv always used 12-16g for my cider and ales . much more than that and the keg will start to deform and risk going bang . i also find if you vent the co2 then close the vant again(10-15 minutes) gives you back pressure for the first few pints and leaves a layer of co2 onto of your brew so it will stay fresh longer

fish out the central plug bottom,

That is by far the hardest part of the process.

I reuse the bungs, however I've found the kegs with the internal pressure system work better when primed.
