Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help. I’m new to writing on forums and returning to home brew after about 3 years away.
I Decided to start with a Wherry kit cos I remember starting with one before. I transferred from primary fermenter to pressure barrel a week or so ago and decided today to check a little (was worried about pressure... once before had a faulty cap). Anyway, there was no pressure! I had followed instructions etc... so I tried to add a co2 bulb. At which point gas escaped from along the side seem of the barrel From a tiny hole near the top. The cap (I just bought it a few weeks ago) was ok I but think it’s probably from the barrel been in store In the garage.
My question is, if I buy a new barrel can I transfer to it and reprime it and maybe save the beer? Or do I have to start again?
