Am I right in thinking that I should use a campden tablet to get shot of chlorine/chloramine in my tap water before mashing. Does it have to be in there for a set period of time before I add the grain? Should I add some to the sparge water etc?

I just crush it and add it to the mash water as it's heating up.

IIRC, half a tablet is regarded plenty for a 23L brew, too. It works pretty much instantly so no need to leave it. :thumb:
