Hi Guys

Just a quick question. I started my first brew of Honley Mild 11 days ago and i took a gravity reading 8 days ago which was 1017. It is now around 1015 after 11 days. Can i transfer to barrel, or should i wait longer/

Many thanks

It sounds like its about ready to transfer to keg, I would go for it.

Whoa, halt, cease and desist :nono:
Before you keg, barrel or bottle check that you have had the same gravity reading over two days, then leave it for another 3 days in the fermenting vessel before you do anything else with it. This way you will know that the beer has finished fermenting and that a lot of yeast has dropped out of suspension and cleared up a lot of fermentation by products, giving you a cleaner tasting beer :thumb:
Don't try to rush things ;)

Ok, thanks for the heads up.

Do you think i should give it a gentle stir and leave for a few days longer?

Or just wait for another day for a second reading before i go any further?

Just leave it for 24 hours and take another reading :thumb:
Then take it from there :)
