Hello all
Couldn't resist a brewday!! Lol
Got my idea from HarrowBrewer smoked Rememerance Porter thank you pal!
The same recipe and it turned 1050 ish!
First time made a Porter so I'm eager to sample it in a few weeks time.
The micro pipe work is a god send tbh! Not only if I don't like it or it spoils...my bottle reserves are getting low!!
Nay probs with the mash, boil or cooling...could mean I'm getting the hang of the GF!
Only thing the tidy up gets longer! Lol
Sat in my shiny shiny brewbucket (another god send!)
Thx all

I made a couple of porters this year. They didn't last long once the neighbours caught on. Hope it turns out well for you :thumb:

Thx my pal,
It was a full on day (well for me that is!) managed to bottle the Crolsch Clone in time for the delivery of the grains!!
Hmmmmmmm!! I need the brewbucket! So happens the St. Peter's needs to be racked off!! Bonus!
Racked clean and the BB!
Then got the gf out! Weight the grains etc..
Set about brew day!!
Mind by the time I finished clean and get the BB up into its place I was knackered!! Prop all the stairs I climbed
Half a mile! Lol just in the house!
Next few days delivery o the lager to my pal..and some milk choc stout n St. Peter's to a pal up in Scotland!
That's going to be epic trip!
Leaving a few bottles of the stout for me if I fancy one..
Mind still got ingredient for the sweet chilly Ale & centennial brown ale and if I have nuff base grains left I could do a small batch o 'all in!'...but I'm not sure if I'll do one again lol!
All in all a bloody exciting and enjoyable time...
Mind at the same time up at Scotland I'm sussing my old AG system to find if I can resurrect after storing!! The HLT & the boiler should be ok but maybe the mash tun needs some more attention...we shall see.
Like I said in another thread if the system is good to go! Once I remember how to use the volumes etc then the system is going to my mate to learn AG brewing..
Thx for remarking keeps my small brain ticking over! Lol

This brewbucket has to be the thing I've bought since the GF..
Fermination kicks off practically within hrs..
The temp in the FV is constant even if the ambiant temp down low!! I got 18C in the room and the bb is 20.5c
Open the window for a bit..the room was 16.5c but the temp in the bb was 20.5c now back to room temp 18c
Mind once the fermentation slows we see a temp change!!

you might be doing it one handed Bri but it don't seem to slow ya down, I enjoy reading your exploits, keep em comin amigo :thumb:

Ha! Ha! I aim to please!
Physical n brain disibilty isn't a disibilty at all...might me to some! But overcome and adapt...
My problem is my brain doesn't work well with too much pressure and info!!
It's annoying but I learn to relax chill and the info come back slowly lol
Humour and enjoy my life to the full!
Can't beat it!!
Thx psl
