Anyhoo! done a sample (eventually hook up co2!!wink... & upped temp for a whatsitchops rest!
Canny tasting sample, no off tastes.
Anyways i ordered back up yeast (TWO PACK ) JUST INCASE.
Part one o Amber ale is on one o my YouTube channel, & brewday will be on ftiday.

morning lads n lasses.
pottering on with the mobile before i get up to the pc.
there’s a couple of questions, more like your views on things that my heeds mashed.🤦‍♂️
with the price of everything going up, to save a bit of £’s i was looking at:
1. Hardest & clean yeast.
2. cryoperservative (crap spelling) freezing yeast.
harvest yeast to me no probs.
but watched 1543,644 vids on the freezing of yesst, most go on about using a can canner, pressure cooker thingy!
is one needed?
my view is, as any homebrewer worth there salt, cleaning and sanitising i second nature.
just seems a lot o faff on! when you can use cleaner & starsan!
i carry on on the pc.
let’s face it! anything that’s needs to be spotless clean, as long as the temp is correct to kull nastys!
with me? i.e. boiling vessels, mason jars/lids and viles etc or any tool that’s going to be used.
love your views befor i venture to make a vid on freezing expensive yeast 😂
catch you all in a mo!

Am i right that one o them can canners is for cleaning large volumes of kit?
IMG_6854.jpeg
to me honestly a lazy way & an expense not needed.
there is two items i have, one i’ve tested, ok lil bit small but does the job!
second one i got thinking all bout temp killing nastys! a long with normal cleaning and sanitize routine!

Onto the Inspant pot pressure cooker that i have trialed.
IMG_6847.jpg
As i can pressure cook at less time (to get the same results) i do 3-5 mins & 15 mins natural release.
and the safe temp is acheived well over 95c (202F).

0BV. ALONG WITH NORMAL CLEANING & SANITISING ROUTINE.

Ok the gears are 'a nice to have' but if you got it why not.
Lets face it, hours hand scubbling and hope for the best is long gone for me, specially with only one arm:laugh8:

well lads n lasses the day started mint!!
cold crash the amber ale no probs.
into pressure thranfer started!
the minute i sat down to rest my old bones! something going to happen!!
cut long story short! the fermzilla beer uptake tube with that horrible ball went pete tong and beer all ova from PRV .so instead of 18.5 i got 17.5 but the extra about 6l supposed into bottles!
i gave up!
but not all lost…

but dangeruss Brian strikes again (online shopping )
no excuse i had my glasses on!
wanted DME for a starter!
what did i get! and the bugga was damaged!
IMG_6887.jpeg
cracked bottom!
ohhh well i’ll use it the morn, LME is better than owt.
mind took bout a hour on Scamazon to get refund.
catch you in the morn for more fun!

the yeast harvest, yeast starter went by no probs!
i was looking fwd to the word i couldn’t say in my vids for the life o me!

I need to do a dark brew. Porters and stouts seem popular at the moment.
