Hi everyone
Around 6 months ago I treated myself to a brewzilla 35l. I am now 6 brews in and each one has a slight haze, even the one that is 6 months old. I use the same routine as with my 3v system.Same yeasts half a protofloc etc. I always check mash temp with a thermometer rather rely on the brewzilla reading and adjust accordingly. The strange thing is that the wort that comes out of the brewzilla is a lot clearer than I used to get out of my cygnet.Beer tastes great but this haze is bugging me. Any suggestions?
Nb all the beers are bitters.

You're not the first to experience this. Brulosophy have even documented it. It doesn't happen for all, but a significant amount of people have noticed that a hazier wort leads to a clearer finished beer.

I presume that you are getting your pH in the ball park. Also don't muck around with the temperature if you have calibrated the temperature of the Brewzilla then don't make adjustments. Stirring will even out the temperature.

Silly question perhaps but did you give the vessel a good clean before using it to wash off any contaminants and residues from production processes and general muck?

I'm assuming you're following all the usual best practices to aid beer clarity?

I have a Brewzilla, I have been using it for 3 years I think. My lighter beers can be perfectly clear, some do have a bit of haze. I would put that down to the actual ingredients used. A slight haze can be annoying in some beers. Are you using whirlfloc or Irish moss, try using a bit more?

Calibrated it before first brew and it was spot on but always seems to drop a few degrees during the last 10- 15 mins of mash.

Yes I gave it a good clean and then a good half hour boil.
