Hello all,

I've only just joined and have never brewed a drop in my life (yet). However, as a beer and lager enthusiast I feel it make sense to start learning the craft.

Righty ho, I'm off for a read!!

Thanks guys,

After a lot of reading on here, I'm going to buy a starter set of kit and a two tin beer kit this weekend.

Worth having a book on board too... Graham Wheeler is great and John Palmer has his book available for free but be warned the gallons are US and measurements imperial in that one.

Welcome Clauster! hope the kit goes well; second what was said about a good book, particularly Graham Wheeler. I started with a copy of Brew Your Own British Real Ale at Home by Graham Wheeler and Roger Protz and I still refer back to it frequently. Another good one I found was the Brewers Handbook by Greg Noonan, Mikel Redman and Scott Russell - it's an American book but very informative.

Let us know how you get on!
Wassail!
Phil
