hi would adding more sugar to a young brewing kit make the alcohol percentage go up

In short yes but alcoholic content should not be the only goal, changing the sugar levels in a kit changes the balance of the brew, more sugar dries it out more malt extract adds body. Then if you add more body (and sweetness) do you want to balance it with more hops. Beer making for me is about finding balances and perhaps pushing them to get to where you want to be.

If you are already adding 1kg of sugar to a 1 can kit, then the suggestion is to add some DME and not more sugar. 500g DME will not only add to ABV, but enhance it a bit and make it more drinkable.

I bought some brew enhancer as i heard its good for the kit brews is this correct

Wilkos does

Geordie Beer Kit Enhancer 1kg for £6

is this ok to put in to the beer kit

how about

Muntons Spray Malt Medium 500g

wilkos sell it for £4.40 is this great for it as im going to wilkos later on

The beer enhancer is malt extract blended with brewing sugar so you can buy the medium spraymalt and add additional sugar to achieve the same effect for a slightly cheaper price. The medium malt will be slightly darker than the BKE though so this may or may not be appropriate for your kit depending on which style of beer it is
