Brewing in the garage

Hi, ive just started my first brew, i was planning on doing it all in the garage, however it gets really cold at night and so ive had to bring it into the house, (which is not pleasing he missus), has anyone made something simple to use in their garage to allow fermentation, without having a blower on all the time which is expensive? TIA

I use a heat belt and a PID temp controller.

right, im all set up with a fridge and heater with an inkbird, but the height of the FV with the airlock on is too high, unless i place the FV on the bottom of the fridge with the heater behind it, will this ruin my brew? or any other alternatives to the airlock i can use?

I haven't seen any pictures posted by members showing the heater next to the FV, it might be fine but probably best under it.

has anyone drilled through the division between the fridge and freezer, making a two compartment pod, but only needing one heater in the bottom (freezer) compartment.?

I have two old fridges with oil heater tubes in the bottom, in the garage never had a problem I control them with ink birds, great system, obviously used for conditioning as well.

Obviously conditioning in the warm is for carbing. Can anyone tell me what the following cold condition period is for?
