Hi

Other than British Real Ale by Graham Wheeler can anyone recommend any good guides to home brewing ? If not books then what about websites or other sources?

I'm after knowing more about the process for a beginner, but being a nerd of most things, I'm also keen on knowing more about the technical aspects and formulas.

Small-Scale Brewing by Ilkka Sysila ISBN: 952-90-9061-7

Lots of chemistry etc, looks at the whole brewing process, a couple of small Finnish breweries and is still readable (yes, it's in Engerlish ;) ) Plus it describes making Finnish 'Sahti' beer in a hollowed out log.......

I keep dipping in and out of it - the book, that is, not the hollowed out log.

[edit]: Sorry, misread your post - it's not really a beginners book, but I get most of it (apart from the heavy chemistry stuff) and I'm a beginner.

Wow, that seems to be a very obscure book. I can find some finnish reviews but nowhere actually selling it.
