Being a true novice at home brew (having tried and failed in my youth) I am very reliant on good instructions on the kits at the moment. The Brewferm Oranje Bock instructions seem to indicate that the total yield is 12 litres although the can seems to be roughly 2 litres and the instructions indicate to use 8 litres of water with 500g sugar. Am I missing something or does that equate to nearer 10 litres?

I am about to go ahead with this kit and, having read posts here, will substitute the sugar for treacle I think.

I am really looking forward to this one maturing. Will keep you posted.

I brewed this last year and it was excellent. I've also made brewferm Christmas and Diabolo. I've got a batch of adbij fermenting at the moment and I can't wait for it to be ready. The hard part is leaving it for a few months to mature!
