Eh Up,

for sometime I have been trying to perfect a single hop Brewers Gold pale...its either overly hoppy or just has no taste to it at all with no aroma...

I've come to the conclusion that I need to blend it with sommat, How about blending it with a bit of cascade, centennial, summit or whatever,

what are your thoughts??

The only recipe I have that uses Brewers Gold is from Mitch Steele's book on IPA. This is for Ballantine No 1, a US east coast brewery producing traditional style UK IPA's in the 1800's. So this is an IPA at OG 1074 and IBU 62, boil for 90 mins, Cluster 60mins 43 IBU, Brewers Gold 25mins 18 IBU, EKG 3mins and dry hop. So maybe stay with a Fuggles/EKG combo around the BG.

I have an all-Brewers Gold Pale Ale in the keg right now. Very nice beer. Nicely fruity hop presence. I don't find that it needs a second hop.
