I ran the recipe below for an 11.5 L batch through Brewer’s Friend and it gave me 231 IBU tinseth. Why would this IBU be so high? I have brewed this recipe before and it turned out great. You might say why bother if it turned out so well? Well, I am in the process of learning to use Brewer’s Friend so I need to know what is going on.

Citra 15 grams at start of boil
Citra 8 grams for last 10 minutes
Simcoe 8 grams for last 10 minutes
Citra 22 grams at turn off
