Just got back from Edinburgh and stopped off (3 times in 2 days) at Brewdog after seeing it mentioned on here. It's not in an obvious place that a tourist might stumble upon so I thought I'd give it a mention. I didn't realise what the place was about until I got there but I left well impressed!

The strong beers thing seemed a bit gimicky but they back it up with some seriously tasty drinks! Punk IPA 5.6% was the freshest most flavoursome beer I've had, Hops Kill Nazi's 7.4% - mmmmmmmmm, I rounded the night off with a glass of Tokyo* (no reason for the asterisk apparently) 18.2% stout which was stupidly strong yet still palateable - there's no danger of you drinking too much of the stuff at £3.80 for a 1/3 of a pint

Turns out they're opening up in Newcastle too so I'm not going to miss it for long either :thumb:

I believe the oen in Newcastle should be open by April 10th.

Inconveniently, that is a week after my birthday :(

I saw that on their website last night - you'll just have to have late birthday party ;)

Fortunately for me my new job will see me passing through town on my way home :drink:

Punk IPA is without a doubt my favorite IPA, i think the flavor has changed recently though due to a slight change in ingredients.

Love some of the brewdog beers.
Keep meaning to make a trip to the one in brum but haven't got round to it yet.

There is a reason for the *.

The original Tokyo without a star was *cough* only around 10% ABV. The star is for the extra Oooomph in the new one...
