I want to make a brew kettle using a plastic bin and 2 backer elec elements what spacings should I place the elements I have been told right angles is this okay, ? will this give me a rolling boil ?any information will help as I want to get it right first time

How big is your kettle? I get a good rolling boil in my 50L SS pot (30L or so of wort) with only one of my two 2.4kW elements on. I use both to get there and then turn one off. As for positioning... I'm not sure it really matters. Mine are close-ish together.

Thanks for information the kettle is 80 lit so it should be big enough I think I will place the 3kw elements about 6 ins apart

90 deg apart sound good, should give ever so slightly more stirring action than 180.
