Hi guys wondering if you can throw some light on my brew? Coopers Canadian Blonde, 1Kg brewing sugar, kit yeast, added yeast at 26deg C popped lid on (with airlock) and left for a week with a brewbelt around fermenter 24deg C, tested sg and around 1.0008 so tested next day sg 1.0008 so bottled priming 500ml pet bottle with 1 coopers carbonation tablet per bottle, the brew was completely clear though :wha: stored bottles at 20deg C for 5 days and then put in coolest room in the house 2 days ago, tried one this afternoon and it is flat as a witches mammary gland, a little psssst when opening the bottle (noise not me) but no fiz, now I know you supposed to leave it for 3 weeks or so but i'm an impatient man :nono: , now is this because I should have used 1.5 carb tabs?, I left it to ferment too long? or will it get carbonated with time?
The brew actually tastes okay, needs time to get there I think.
