Hi
Can anyone recommend a decent boiler.
Ideally I would like a 30/35l boiler with a hidden element and tap. I have looked at the Ace/Klarstein all in one thingys, but i quite like doing the mash separately.
Any advice would be very helpful.

The Digiboil works nicely. You can "upgrade" it too so it works like a Brewzilla.

Well you could do worse than a Klarstein Fullhorn (30L) which does indeed have a hidden element and a tap. Also available is a made to measure bag if you want for BIAB.
Edit: It has digital temperature control and has three heat options 900w. 1600w or 2500w all at the flick of a switch.

Bang on, i love my fullhorn and for the money it's bang on, mine is coming up to 2 years old with no problems at all other than the one's i created :laugh8:

How controllable is the temperature with the fullhorn? Do you ever have a problem getting a rolling boil?

I’ve also thought about a single induction hob and basic kettle. Has anybody tried this?

Sorry for all the questions, but can you use each of the three watt ratings.

Here you go 27L pushing the limit here

As a kettle, I use a 30l Burco Cygnet. I’ve replaced the tap, fitted a helix filter and made one of @foxbat’s power regulators to control the intensity of the boil. It produces around 25l batches into fermenter at normal gravity although I sometimes produce higher gravity batches which I dilute down to 35l in fermenter.

Thanks for all helpful responses, much to ponder. Looking at the Klarstein, I think I actually like the look of the 35l Maischfest mash kettle, comes with a chiller and mash insert, which I wasn’t too sure about to start with, but for £60 more than the Fullhorn I might as well have the extras.
Only issue is the height, means I’ve got to rebuild my brew stand. 🤔
