Hi,

I've had a Coopers English Bitter in a pressure barrel for 2 weeks now - it has now lost all pressure either from pouring many pints or a leak and has started to draw in air when pouring so ideally i would like to get it out.

I can't think of any problems other than the possibility of more oxidization? Not sure if I will re-prime the bottles as I am more than happy with the beer as it is with no carbonation but would like it to hold a head, however if I did decide to how would you go about it?

Many thanks again

I don't use pressure barrels so hopefully someone who does will read this soon.

I would have thought though transferring to bottles will not work. You will introduce oxygen when bottling which will oxidise it pretty quickly. Also, you say air has already got in so the oxidisation process will have started.

I would get it supped and make another.

Do you top up your barrel with co2 hen the pressure drops? It would prevent this problem in the future if you don't already.

HI there

I had exactly the same problem last year with a Coopers Dark Ale. I syphoned it out of the keg into bottles it with a half teaspoon of sugar in each bottle and it turned out absolutely fine.
