ive done it, another step towards my own beer. ive bottled my first brew.

took longer than expected. i would have been quicker but...

i ran out of bottles. i prepared 40 but i must have been underfilling slightly and i still had a couple of liters left in the bin. luckily i had some caps left and a few bottles in the shed. i washed and primed them and got the last of the brew out of the bin.

my 44 bottles are now in crates in the bath-just in case i have an explosion disaster.(hope the wife and kids will make do with showers this weekend)

4 days in the bath for secondary ferm and then back under the stairs to clear.

can hardly wait :drink:

nice one mate, but where's your pics :hmm: lol
hope it turns out well, I've done about 10 kits so far, coopers - 2 lagers, 2 draught, mexican cerveza, european lager, canadian blonde, milestone dasher the flasher, tom caxton real ale, along with making the usual turbo cider, elderflower champagne, ginger beer . i remember doing my first brew back in july and i was running about the kitchen, sweat pishing off me, making sure I had done everything properly, the brew turned out well and was swallied (scottish term for 'drinking something quickly') in a week or two.after maybe your first 2 or 3 brews its a total breeze, what I've learned is if you sanitise everything before brewing then you should be ok,keep everything simple for ur first few brews then start experimenting. there's been a few times when I've thought I've made a boo boo but the brew has turned out fine.
just keep reading this forum, ive been on here just reading pretty much every post as much as I can to keep learning from others.

edldeflower champagne you say. mmmm, must get a recipe off you sometime.
