Bottle cleaning

Hi , I have been building up a collection of bottles for my brew for a while now , but some have them have started to get mould in the bottom which is proving nigh on impossible to remove , I have tried soaking them , dish watering them , brushing them,but I just can't seem to get it all out . It seems a shame to have to throw them out , it's my own fault I should have rinsed them out

Use oxy stain remover and leave them in soak overnight then a good brushing with a bottle brush

once you do get them sorted, only store bottles that are clean and DRY - that way nothing can start growing in them :thumb:

Yes I ve learned my lesson

For real stubborn mould I use a little bit of fish tank gravel or sand
A tea spoon in the bottle quarter fill with hot water and shake hard works every time

Tesco 'oxy clean' or pound shop oxy stain remover (near the fabric conditioners). Sorted.. if not I tend to find recycling them and buying a few 'new' bottles very rewarding..

Lol,thing is I think my taste buds have changed , the missues got me a couple of bottles of new key (she's after something ) and it tasted horrible very bitter , and I'm only into my third brew !
