I have had this problem, since I decided to go for the bottle method instead of the keg.

My crimping/clamping device is quiet bent now and so far I have destroyed two large stella bottles when exerting too much pressure. I have found a way round this but it is frustrating.

I have 3 types of bottles, stella, hobgoblin (worst) and some organic beer bottles I bought from M&S. My cap clamping device only seems to work well on the m&s bottles. The only way I can fit caps to the hobgoblin and stella bottles, is either if I re-use the caps or bend them over the m&s bottles.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so is there a cap clamping device that works well with all beer bottles, if not one that works with hobgoblin and large stella bottles? The one I am using, is from wilkinson.

I know the obvious thing to do would be to just use the bottles that work, but I have like 100 hobgoblin bottles, so it would be a waste.

I have never used one but i was told the table top capper will cap all bottles. I know my hand capper can't do Hobgoblin bottles.
This one
linky

i have had 3 of those hand cappers from wilkos, and to be honest they are a pile of sh*t, i have lost a lot of bottles by these things smashing the, so in the end i went for a table top capper with adjustable capper for different bottle sizes, it might if cose me £25, but it caps all sizes and makes, and is robust!!!
Get yourself one of these babys!!!!!!

have same one as link given above!!
