Hi All,
Amazon have a Bluetooth floating thermometer for £50, reduced from £100. I might get one to sit in my FV during fermentation. I don't have a digital thermometer yet, and I don't like opening the FV loads to check temp, this seems like a good solution.
Just thought I'd mention it's half price.

I don't like the idea of the effect of the positive charge that may be passed onto the brew, why not just use a LCD strip on the side of the barrel ?

I've got an LCD strip... are they accurate? I always assumed they must be just a guide.

I've actually just read the reviews of this and one person says it reads 3 or 4 degrees higher than actual temp, which makes it pointless for brewing! Ignore me, just thought I'd had a lightbulb moment! Ha.

No no, it's a great idea but I was just thinking about costs, lcd strips don't need batteries...

I found mine to work for some time but I haven't the foggiest where it is now as have a few barrels
