Ok, before we have the poor chap pricing up a 5BBL plant... :D

I have 100 litre pots, so could probably manage a 75 litre brew if I tried. However, I've never come close to this. In 26 brews, I have done 3 x 40 litre batches, and everything else has been 23 litre.

One issue is that large quantities are easy to brew, but not so easy to ferment. So when I designed the wee systems for my friends who are interested in brewing, I started with a standard-issue fermentation bucket, and worked back from there. I figured there wasn't much point filling more than 1 of those...

yup.

I'm going with a 3 vessel system then :thumb:
I don't mind heating strike and sparge separate, will probably be better for my stove to cope with.
But this does mean that I now have to get 3 fancy ss taps

How long does it take to get a reply about the cost of pots from bergland?
I've been waiting over 30 minutes now :D :D

well............................

in the meantime have a browse around at

electric elements

brewstands

shed

temp controllers

:D :D :D :D

Thanks pd,

And thanks everyone, I'm humbled by your help :thumb:

I'm sure i will be asking loads more once I get my pots!

Ooh I just got an email back..

Well it was an email just asking for my postcode to make a competitive offer.. So not 100% sure yet :hmm:

I think some do and some don't. I deliberately got one without as I wanted it to be bottom draining. I then followed Vossy's excellent guide here :thumb:

Got a reply.

103 euros with delivery for 32.5 litre thermo and 33 litre stock pot.

Does this sound good :D

They are a persuasive bunch on here ain't they .

I'm still doing kits but after being on here I'm planning a brew shed

You are not joking!!!

Mines going to be more of a brew kitchen despite having a shed and garage which are full of junk!

I've took the plunge!
I've accepted their offer and I'm just waiting to pay :thumb:

Now I've got to think about false bottoms and taps and tubes and this and that

They tell you very clearly what you have to do, but ultimately yes, you pay through Paypal.

They charged me €72.80 for a 32.5l thermopot delivered, so yeah, sounds a good price to me :thumb:

I got my FB from hop & grape, without handles & legs. They gave it to me a bit cheaper than advertised because of that :thumb:

Just paid 103 euros for both pots delivered, woohoo brewery phase two initiated

I'll check out hop and grape now

I thought this was going to be about going blind from drinking moonshine.
