Hi I am planning on brewing this in a 5l demijohn this weekend and was wondering if this recipe sounds correct:
4L of morrisons value apple juice
220ml Lowicz Blackcurrant syrup
teabag tannin
1tsp Yeast Nutrient
1tsp Youngs super wine yeast
1l water to top up

Also do you recommend simmering the apple juice first? Do you think I should add pectolase? And would the final recipe work for the Lowicz strawberry, raspberry and cherry?

Sorry and Thanks

You should add pectolase as a precaution to pectin hazes. No need to boil as long as it is 100% from apple Juice/concentrate, ie no preservatives.

It was a link to the sainsburys apple juices so as long as the ingredients say this it will be ?
Apple Juice From Concentrate (100%).

Sounds nice. I wouldn't bother with the 1L topup of water though. Should be lovely as is :)

Get an extra carton of apple juice and use that to top up instead of water. And drink the leftover apple juice :thumb:

Hi you know the 1l extra apple juice to top up is that put in after fermentation. Or after all ingredients are put in?

Thanks
