With the pie. One of my joys of university life in Leeds was that every pub did pie and mushy peas. Cheap and tasty pub grub.

Although being a true Londoner ( born within the sound of Bow Bells) I absolutely detested the Liquor! So had my pie and mash with HP !

Never tried jellied eels but I've eaten loads of eels I've caught. Absolute buggers to skin...used to nail them to me mams coal house door and pull it off with pliers.

And in The Netherlands smoked eel is an absolute delicacy.

Never had gellied eel though. I just understood it is something typically from London.

O i have tried it and it is total sh-t, i would not give it to my dog, your pic shows smoked eels i like them, but jelled no chance tried them once and nearly pukked

Jellied eels are up there with food I would never eat along with Tripe and Pigs Feet. But will be on Haggis dim sum tomorrow.
