Hi guys.I am thinking about making some wine from concentrated juice..Thinking about

Tesco Cranberry Juice 1 Litre
Tesco Concentrate Pure Red Grape Juice 1 Litre

Tesco Concentrate Pure White Grape Juice 1 Litre
Tesco Concentrate Squeezed Pineapple Juice 1 Litre

As you can see I want the red juices together and the white juices together so I want to make red wine and white wine.. I may just even make 4 single 1 Litre wines using the 1 Litre bottles.

I think these are pure and not have anything in them.I am going to just add sugar..God knows how much lol..no idea and use reg bakers yeast or maybe some wine yeast..

Any advice would be great :thumb:

Don't know too much about winemaking, but use montrachet yeast. you can usually buy enough for 10 gallons or so for a quid at your LHBS and it will improve your wine tenfold over bakers yeast!

Unfortunately you won't get a red wine, the best you can hope for is a nice rose. As I understand it there is no way to homebrew red wine from juice, you need the correct grapes etc.

In order to make the wine properly you're going to need a few more ingredients.....

Tannin or strong tea (you can substitute 1/2tsp of tannin with a cup of tea made with 2 tbags steeped for 10 mins and strained).
Pectolase (to aid clearing)
Potassium Sorbate (to stop the yeast multiplying in order to stop fermentation. Exploding bottles are never popular lol)
Campden tablets (to stun the yeast and clear up any off flavours)
Glycerin (Optional but helps with mouth feel)
Yeast Nutrient (optional but gets the fermenting off to a flyer)

I use the youngs super yeast. Works a treat.

Perfect "How-to" tutorial

That's the guide I followed there, it's absolutely spot on and covers everything in perfect detail. Simply substitute the juice in the guide with what you want to use and the jobs a goodun.

many thanks to your answers..I just wanted to make the inmate wine or prison wine as they call it
I bought the red and white yeast but didn't know you had to buy all those other stuff for this cheap way of making wine..They never used it I don't think..I like watching Craigtube..I don't know if anyone of you watch him?

That's the thing though. If prisoners had access to those ingredients they would use them, they just use what's to hand.

They also use bread yeast rather than proper homebrew yeast and the hooch tastes of bottled bog water so if you're going for the inmate experience then do it all the way :p

OK..Just bought some Campden Tablets... Pectolase 30g..... Yeast Nutrient .. and finally Potassium Sorbate ...got all these from the same ebay seller and the other 2 packs of yeast  so he should be happy..
so now I hope I can use these without messing it up lol..

I knew about the bread yeast but I thought I would get a better taste using proper wine yeast..I just bought most of those ingredients now lol so hopefully I should produce a nicer wine.. I don't have a lot of air locks but was going to just open the top a little..I am sure this should be ok.

I would definitely recommend an airlock bud, the CO2 will protect it for the most part but why go to all of that trouble only to fall foul of an infection. It would be a full batch wasted over the saving of a £1 airlock ;)
