Just 24 hr's in and These are chugging away Lovely, I'm expecting a clean up job though in the morning as they both are ready to leave the Airlocks!

The Old tom has Nottingham in it, Oh it has 2X Nottingham in it!!
And Kenny Has 2X S04.

Doubling the yeast seems good! Oh and I rehydrated them all as well seems people keep talking about it..

Kegged both of these today,
Old tom smells and tastes wonderful!
And Kenny is just the mut's nut's :thumb:
Both have come down to around 1016 FG so they can finish off in the kegs.

I don't know they went into the kegs and I've not had time for a quick sample... :(
I might have a look friday night!

Just sat with a bottle of Old Tom and thought i'd have a look see if anyone had made any.

i'm a bit of a novice so not sure what you mean in your recipe. What weights did you go with to end up with 23l?

Just had a sample of this out of the conditionor cupboard!
Very nice just needs chilling to drop the yeast out and some time to mature.
Then I'm going to do a blind taste test to see if there's a difference!

Weights were:
6700.00 gm Pale Malt, Maris Otter
550.00 gm Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L
185.00 gm Chocolate Malt
550.00 gm Table Sugar
23.00 gm Whitbread Golding Variety (90 min)
48.00 gm Goldings, East Kent (90 min)
23.00 gm Goldings, East Kent (10 min)

Nice one

Think I'm gonna have a blast next weekend so I can be drinking Old Tom with My Turkey dinner
