better brew czech pilsner

Hi peeps,

I bought a basic kit consisting of FV, stick on thermometer. Steriliser, syphon tube with tap and brewing sugar. I want to bottle it up when. Finished so I've ordered 40 bottles and a capper on the cheap. Is there anything else I need? Also, I'm concerned with the temperature with it been hot at the moment.


Any hints and tips would be appreciated muchly.

I would add a hydrometer and trial jar.

I forgot about the hydrometer, I've just bought it. What do I do with the trail jar.

If you use DJ's you cannot use a hydrometer (well you can but its a right pain in the ass) so you pour some beer (or whatever you are making) into the trial jar, the trial jar is tall enough to allow the hydrometer float, if you are going to use buckets its not required as they are deep enough, some members leave the hydrometer in the bucket.
