Best way to get a label off a bottle

Sorry but a bit of topic but if your using 2ltr Cider flagon, i use them a lot and found plastic Champagne corks fit the neck.

If you have acchess to a drill - preferably a pillar drill, use a rotating wire brush on the label. Should remove it in less than a minute, especially if it’s been pre- soaked. May leave a small residue of glue which can be removed in water with a wire scouring pad.

Please do not use steel or brass wire. I used to do glassblowing. A scrach form a metal wire can result in the glass breaking into shards when in contact with heat (like when sanitizing).
If you want to use this solution, then go with a nylon bristle.
 
Best bottles Ive found are Lech , the Polish beer , Very little effort, short soak or the dishwasher , they come off leaving no residue ...nice beer and nice green bottles too
