Detectorists, though Netflix doesn't have the final season as yet. And from ITV Bodyguard both shows very good. Only reason I watched Bodyguard was because Keeley Hawes was in it, (Ashes to Ashes and Spooks)
I'm very comfortable being behind the times. We didn't watch Game of Thrones until it was almost completed. It was interesting to finally get all the cultural references all at once. I'm going to check those out.
Just one of the non-US shows that was great was a depressing and at the same time awesome detective show, Wallander, with Kenneth Branagh.

Netflix original “*** Education” is great.

Still Game, Gavin & Stacey, The Inbetweeners, Derry Girls and (although Irish) Father Ted are all on UK Netflix so I assume they are on the US version.

For something more “serious”, Line Of Duty is brilliant!
I like serious as well. Don't know yet--since I'm wading my way through these thoughtful posts--if someone has mentioned the Idris Elba show (he's a favorite of ours) where he's a detective. I love that kind of stuff. Father Brown isn't too serious but thoroughly enjoyable.
I'm curious if Netflix is identical everywhere but I'll find out when I check these suggestions out. Thank you.

I've thought of a few more :
'The Fall'
'Broadchurch'
'Sherlock'
'Dracula'
'Killing Eve'
'The Tudors'
Obviously not certain you can actually watch them in the States but certainly worth a try............
Dracula is a bit of an emotional overload for me--so, so intense. My wife handles that one a bit better than I. No arguing with it being a very well done show. They've got a couple of awesome show runners or producers there.
I'm mid Sherlock. Brilliance all around. Another show with Doctor Who personnel creating great shows.

Peaky Blinders and Line of Duty are the two that spring to mind. There are five seasons of Peaky Blinders and four or five of Line of Duty.

Both are brilliantly done and the last time I looked, both are on Netflix.
I especially like a good show that has many series. Not many can surpass Midsomer Murders but we can't have everything. Stupid Netflix removed All Creatures Great and Small which bummed me out.

I appreciate the input from everyone, sincerely.
Hopefully, you all have access to Lost in Space and Stranger Things.
Great shows if you like that kind of stuff. There's a ton more but you all probably have it covered.
Cheers.

Er, isn't Britbox available in the US & Canada?. Thought it was started up there before here and has in excess of 600,000 subscribers stateside with a strong focus on both BBC & ITV TV programs?. Ok, many might not want multiple subscriptions but I always focus on the service that has the content I want at any given time. If your done with British shows on Netflix why not give Britbox a go?.
