Hi I just wanted to share my review for this amazing product with you guys.
Pictures of product are on my review on the Amazon page

Absolutely amazing capper I chose this one over the other mass produced generic choice as they have mixed reviews because of vital plastic parts breaking.
Well this one is entirely made of good quality strong stainless steel in all of the vital parts and joins
the only plastic parts on the whole thing are a cap/cover at the top of the tool and a I guess you could call it a buffer at the top of the spring both of which are not structural parts.
It comes with two capper "cups" for beer and champagne bottles both of which screw onto the device with metal threads so structurally they're strong.
Also inside the "cup" where it attaches there is a magnet for holding the caps that does a good job and seems to be attached well.
And most importantly of all it does a very good job of sealing the caps to the bottles, it is a push down lever rather than a pull lever so it is very easy to use as you can put your weight above it to easily attach the caps.
The caps when on the bottle are equally sealed all around and the seal hold up to the pressure of carbonation easily.
The height adjustment is very easy too simply by pulling the lever up and it locks into place very securely.
For anyone's interest this is an omac/ferrari device which is a very good brand.

I waited until I had used this capper for two five gallon batches about 88 bottles and all I can say is I'm very glad I purchased this over the other choices it's easy to use solid as a rock and I honestly see this lasting for my entire brewing career

Hi,
I really liked your review and as a result bought one of these cappers. First impressions are that it is really well made and more stable than some others.

Unfortunately, it came without instructions and I'd grateful for some advice.

I've figured out how to move the capping head up and down the vertical arm and how to lock it in place. I'm struggling though with how to set the height of the capping bell above the bottle. If it's set too low there is a danger of crushing the bottle. If it's too high caps may not seal properly.

I'm sure there's a simple way. I'm just not seeing it.

Thank you.

And if you place a foldedup towel or the like underneath the bottle? The cushioning effect might work.

I've got this capper too, and it's been brilliant. I've not had the problems you describe. I just set it say 5-10mm above the bottle and away I go. I have to say it does help if all your bottles are the same size!

Hi, thanks for posting the review. Have just bought one (O.M.A.C. make). It does not seem to seal the same way my old 2 handled lever action capper did - just sealed my first test bottle and the cap has not wrapped round and back under the top of the bottle as the old capper did. Any advice? Will this new seal work ok?
Thanks,
Dan
