Belma Hops

I’ve ordered some of these for a single hop concoction of sorts at the weekend .

Anyone used before ?

I’ve got a SMaSH that’s just finished carbonating. I’ve read a lot about it tasting of strawberries, but in the only sample I’ve had so far I could only pick out liquorice.

Hopefully it’ll be ready to drink properly in just under 2 weeks.

That’s a shame - it was the strawberry and pineapple I was looking forward to.

Not used on a Homebrewing scale but did have a belma and huell melon pale ale at a brewery in the states that I totally forget the name of. It was all strawberries and melon. Delicious.

How did you find the hops?

I did a raspberry hefeweizen using quite a lot in whirlpool and dry hop, people that have sampled it have said it’s nice. I only used one litre of raspberry purée in a 20l batch then primed with raspberry syrup.

Not used them yet matey, had quite a hectic month or so and way behind on brew schedule !
