Hello everyone,

I've already posted a couple of times, but thought it would be rude not to formally introduce myself.

My name's Jamie, I live in Manchester and have been brewing at home on and off for a few years now, but have only recently started taking it seriously as a hobby.

I'm a freelance video maker, from corporate stuff through to editing short films and music videos. To supplement the fairly meagre income I get from this, I work at Port Street Beer House, so in the event that any of you find yourselves in there, don't hesitate to say hello. My username should give you an idea as to what I look like!

Cheers. Looking forward to learning and hopefully contributing a lot here.

welcome to the forum. An impressive list of beers on offer at the beer house.

Being in Manchester you've not seen one of our " older statesmen" of the forum...Graysalchemy have you ? he will be the one slumped in a corner probably.. :D

Cheers. We're kind of spiritual kin with the Grove in Huddersfield or the Sheffield Tap.

Not familiar with the name Graysalchemy, but of course they probably wouldn't go by that name in the pub!

No was a little bit of humour. I don't think GA slumpes anywhere.

Hi Jamie,

Hopefully will be up in Manchester in a month or so, my daughter's up there studying, if we're allowed to go will def pay a visit to your pub.

Cheers RD

Sweet, you should pay a visit. It's worth it, I can assure you. We just won Manchester pub of the year (Food & Drink Awards, not CAMRA), so we're feeling pretty pleased with ourselves.
