Both should be here tomorrow and hopefully I'll get them in the go sharpish!

Anyone got any experience with either? They both look like good kit's, especially the Founders, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how they go.

They will be my 3rd and 4th kits so any tips appreciated.

The first two kits went OK and the only issue I have had was the bottling. Despite trying to be careful, I ended up with both being really cloudy and some bits in the bottles. How best to avoid this next time? Both were taken from the tap on the FV.

Cheers y'all

I haven’t tried those I’m afraid. I have brewed several Beerworks kits though. Mersey Dockers IPA, Goldiggers Lager, and Guineas Stout have all been excellent. I currently have their Extra Special Bitter and Barley Wine conditioning in bottles. Exellent kits.

I was hoping to have ordered the Dockers, but out of stock. Hopefully next time. Thanks for the feedback on the others. The Stout sounds good too!

There's a big thread on the Sierra: Beerworks President's Sierra American Pale Ale review

I've got this conditioning and I've had a few samples. Not convinced at the moment, quite malty and had a slightly odd taste to it that I can't put my finger on, not undrinkable by any stretch so I'm just hoping it will come good. Might just be mine though as most others rave about it on the thread above.

I've been considering making the Founders DIPA for a while, serious kit with a lot of malt and hops with a strength to match! Be good to hear how this turns out for you.

Also generally a fan of the BeerWorks kits, the Chinook IPA is very good, so much so that I have other sat waiting to be brewed. I've also made Sheepdog's Pride, Will's Olde English and the ESB from that range, all been good, and I have the Golden Rocket Pale Ale conditioning + the Captain Cook's Amber ready to brew. Finally also trying their CiderWorks kits for the first time.

Fingers crossed the Sierra will come good with some additional rest. I'm way too inexperienced to make any credible suggestions as to why it may be off the mark.

The Founders should be with me by lunchtime, so as soon as work is done I'll be straight onto that one. Really looking forward to it actually. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out, I'm hoping the kit quality will give me a damn fine brew.

The Chinook is on my wish list, so glad you've had a result with that.

Cheers for the input🍺✌️

The Founders has been a lot of fun so far. Kit is as full as it sounds and the malt mixing made the house smell awesome. It started fermenting about six hours after adding the yeast and just got more and more active until it was being pushed out of the airlock, so much so that it needed tea towels to stop it making a hell of a mess. It steadied up after a day and and a half, but still quite progressive. We added the hops after five days and the huge amount of em' were gorgeous to mix with the boiling water. As soon as they were in they stimulated the fermentation again and its got a life of its own. I doubt it will take the ten days they say it will take to finish, but time will tell.
So far I'm really chuffed and hopeful of a good result. I'll update after bottling.

@OldSchoolSi - How did this one turn out in the end? I'm hovering over the 'buy' button on the Love Brewing site atm, and I'm curious to see if this kit can successfully balance all that alcohol and hop madness...

Thinking that I could bottle in 330mls, but have just done the calcs and that would deliver over 70 bottles worth! Cripes. ashock1
