I have a curious issue I've not encountered before and wondering if anyone here has experienced similar or knows the solution.

My beer out post on a corny will only allow beer through if it is just a bit looser than finger tight. Any more tight, no beer at all. Any less tight small amount of air makes its way into the pour. All of this occurs within about a half turn, all easily done by hand.

When the beer runs out I'll be able to take it off and have a proper look, but in the meantime has anyone got any ideas?

Is the dip tube sat the middle hole?

Swap the posts around from the gas and see if fault transfers.

"Poppet" spring too strong and poppet depressing pin (in disconnect) worn down? So, poppet remains sealed unless marginally looser.

@LeeH's "diagnostic fix" will be effective for that too.

I've had it happen when swapping the innards of a post assembly for "universal poppets" (that was down to using too fat a poppet seal O-ring).

After a fair amount of trial and error. The solution was the swap the dip tube with one of the other kegs... They must have got switched at some point when I was deep cleaning the lot.

I had no idea that the dip tubes were specific to the post / keg. But there we go.
