The BBC's extreme left wing bias annoys me, but the wild life programs are great . I sometimes watch Breakfast in the mornings, but more often than not am turned off by the never ending stream of minority interest groups just basically begging to be able to rob the ever diminishing number of actual tax payers to fund their nonsense.
Left wing bias?

And there was me reading on this very forum that someone strongly suggested that they're the mouthpiece puppet of the Government.

Now, if you think the Tory Government of 14 years was left wing, you're very much mistaken.

I'd argue this is the most centrist Labour Gov we've ever had too. I've heard it called "Tory Lite" many times.

What I particularly love is that the right wing think it's lefty. The left think it's a Government puppet.
For the record, apparently, those that know media say apparently it's as centre as it comes. There are few media sources that are apparently more accurate.

But don't just take my word for it.
America rank it as #4 - the most trustworthy international source

And apparently, amongst British people, only 21% say it's untrustworthy and it comes out top in trust.

Ad Fontes Media, who are the professionals in these things say it's a teeny weeny bit to the left, but mostly down the middle.

These people really know their onions. They basically fact check everything.

There is only one source that they say is more centrist and accurate and that's Reuters. In the ENTIRE WORLD.
I'd say that's something to be proud of.

I pay it coz I can't be arsed with punching some snivelling toerag on the nose when they come a Knockin...
The BBC is an information service..usually about stuff they want to push and other lies.
Funny how the fact that recently Welsh ministers TOLD Wrexham councillors they would be voting in favour of the Local Development Plan or face JAIL and have ASSETS SIEZED!
The councillors rejected this after voting twice on it. This was challenged in the high court on appeal by ministers and 6 major developers....who lost.
They now have a £100k plus bill to pay.
This didn't make even local news...
Can you show me some unsubstantiated evidence of this?

One thing I've noticed about the BBC is that unlike most of the gutter press, they insist on evidence, rather than hearsay. Most of the Newspapers will print any old crap on the back of someone saying it may have happened.

It's irritating sometimes, because you know there's something going on and the BBC are often very late in reporting it. Again, as above, Reuters are the same. And sometimes you find yourself looking at Sky Sports, or one of the red tops websites.

Why don't they report or publicise stuff then? Like there's riots, marches all sorts going on and only certain ones reach the news.
And I don't believe this right wing left wing tory or whatever tripe...the current government are always controlled by the people who control everything.

I can't do links etc coz I'm a media div...its out there if you look. The finer details are also there.
The worst part is even though the councillors won their case the Plan can still be FORCED.
Just like local planning getting thrown out on traffic, drainage, access,no infrastructure, safety etc and it getting allowed on appeal by faceless persons who don't even live in the area.

So not this then?

They covered the riots. But I don't think they cover marches. Note: There are as many left wing marches as there are right wing ones. The Greeny folk are well known for their marches and probably do twice as many.

Sadly, they don't have as many social media mouthpieces as the right, so no-one knows.

Let's be honest, if the BBC tried to cover every march, it would be a proper dull read. Tell me, which is more important? The Farmers? The anti-Europe folk? The pro-Europe folk? the anti-islam, the pro-islam, the greens, the environmentalists and so on?

Because there is at least 1 march a week. You'd be bored of hearing about them within a month.

And funny enough, let me show you a news article.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg1d9pzjkno

This is about Gaetz who many other news outlets have been saying since 2020 was involved in prostitutes and underage sex. The BBC have been almost entirely silent, because they needed to wait until an official Government report came out.

In addition, what they haven't reported on because it's irrelevant unless you like gossipy news, is that Gaetz was the guy who has, for 5 years, been going after Hunter Biden. Pretty much everything we know about Hunter came from this guy.

It turns out, he's been doing everything Hunter was doing, but 10x more illegal.
