Had just been to sheffield to pick up a fridge for fermentation and called in for that pint. A great pint, will have to brew it one day when I get my first ag done.

On the way back from collecting fridge the misses says " want to call in at the fat cat " hmm does she want new bag or summit! Had a nice pint of knight rider.

Whats your OG BB and no idea how to work out hop grams out?

Hi Phil,
Try this, I altered the hops and I prefer this to the other hopping amounts.
I would get about 1048 on this.
The brewer used wheat malt instead of torrified because he was worried it would finish with an haze.

Great story, congrats BB. Would'nt wheat malt be more likely to give a haze than torrified?
That pub looks inviting, proper pub.
Must have been a really special moment seeing your ale on a pump, brilliant, really pleased for you and for the memory of your late neighbour.

Evanvine, another steam head? Looks like the Princess to me. I'm currently buiding an LNER D20 (4mm) Just finished an LNER J52. Its almost addictive as brewing!

I'm sure it's torrified that creates haze, can anyone correct me if I'm wrong.. :hmm:

Evanvine is a steam train driver in the Midlands at weekends.... (jammy sod)
RAILWAY CLICKY

As far as I'm concerned they both have the potential to create a protien haze if you're not careful although around 5% shouldn't be a problem. although in one of our beers we had a problem with 5% wheat malt, which was rectified by using more protofloc in that brew.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any reason why there should be a difference between them and I haven't got my books handy but i'm sure Aleman will tell us ;-)
