Banana and lemon curd wine started today! My instincts tell me this is gonna be a favourite! Smells amazing!
Here is what I put in it:-
2 x jars lemon curd
4kg bananas, topped and tailed and sliced in skins
1100g white sugar
100g demerara
500ml concentrated grape juice
zest and juice of two oranges
zest and juice of two lemons
yeast nutrient
pectolase
CML orange yeast
9L of boiling water (simmered the bananas for 45 mins)
After more squeezing than the picture above shows, I ended up with 12L of must.
Starting gravity 1.088
It's happily blipping away at the moment. I really do think this is the nicest thing I've ever made.
