I have 4.5 litres of finished WOW at 12.7% ABV however it finished at 990 and is over dry so I'm planning on back sweetening with 150mls of grape juice just to take the edge off. Is there a calculation I can carry out to work out what the new ABV will be?

12.659% ABV to be precise. So still considered 12.7%ABV.

Matt

12.7% of 4500ml = 571.5ml of alcohol
New volume: 4650ml
571.5/4650= 12.29%
Dunno how he got his figure
Oh, maybe adding 15ml instead of 150 for the backsweetening

Oldblioke is correct with those calculations. That effing decimal point trumped me again!!!

Haha, I do that sorta thing all the time and I teach maths to children, I'm a liability in that department!

Thanks Matt mate
