LoL, well, I suspect this is still quite young but having said that, I really must admit it has all the aroma and taste of a hand pulled pint from the wood, a little cloudy but acceptable and really does remind me of my local around 1970. Well done PD, honestly. What was the FG by the way. All the best Buster.

Cloudy ! blame the Postman !

Came out at 1009 so about 4% abv....easy drinker.
I've never tasted the commercial variety and this was the first time I've brewed it ( recipe as per GW )
along with TTL it will be made again to keep the stocks up as its quick to make and condition...

I'm glad it got the approval from one who lives next door to Arkells Brewery

Had a good week this week and on Tuesday I rescued a beautiful silver ! working fridge from a friend who was going to TIP it !
A good scrub up and its like new
Installed a small tubular heater controlled by a stc and its made a great bottle conditioning cabinet. The fridge part I've left unconnected at the moment.
So at last I managed to bottle off the Kingsdown Ale ( 40 bottles ) and it got the VIP treatment with the cabinet.
( fridge looks like it will hold around 45 PET bottles altogether )
Having had a good length of time in the secondary fermenter, the brew was beautiful and clear.
Busters commercial bottle of Kingsdown Ale is to be kept for a tasting comparison when the brews ready.

And on Wednesday I collected a gas regulator of member Kinleycat, (thanks Ian) this is to be put away while funds are collected for a small Cornie set up.

I like comparisons. I have just procured a bottle of St Austells Proper Job (from waitrose) to compare against my new Odd Job and a old bottle of Odd Job. Hard life but someone has to see if it is up to scratch
